Welcome to the Skagit Valley Beekeepers...

We're glad you're here! We're eager to share our love and knowledge of beekeeping with you. We welcome new beekeepers as well as experienced folks in the Skagit Valley Beekeepers Association. We have many members with multiple levels of experience, from beginning backyard beekeepers to big, commercial operations. We are interested in the different styles of beekeeping and the many phases of beekeeping before and beyond honey production.

We hold monthly meetings with discussions and information presented about beekeeping. We also provide once a year a more formal classroom education using the curriculum developed by the Washington State Beekeepers Association, which allows beekeepers to work towards Apprentice, Journeyman, and Master Beekeeper status.

What We Offer:
Monthly meetings (2nd Thursday of each month).
Weekly, hands-on learning opportunities in our apiary.
Use of the club's extractors and other tools.
Annual Beekeeping Classes

Social Opportunities:
In July we have a potluck family picnic, in March a potluck meeting with a silent auction, and during a few days in August - we set up our booth at the Skagit County Fair and share with lots of visitors some of the joy of keeping bees.

Annual Membership:
Annual Membership in SVBA is good for the full calendar year, running from January 1 through December 31, and costs just $20.00 for an Individual and $30.00 for a Household. To qualify for a Household Membership, all members must live together under the same roof.
